Established in 1934, Village Bakery is a family owned business wholly owned and run by traditional bakers. Staying true to the principles of craft baking, we produce a range of high quality bread, pies and morning goods which are sold in independent retailers throughout North Wales, as well as Tesco, Spar, Coop, Asda and McColls stores in the region. Our products are now also available in Asda stores throughout the whole of Wales.
All products are baked to order and are delivered fresh on the morning they are made. Our bread is baked with SLOW DOUGH for outstanding flavour and our pies have been perfected using our own in-house pastry and PRIME CUTS OF MEAT.
We use the finest ingredients and through our LOCAL SOURCING POLICY we look to source the best products from the local area. Our morning goods are all made with Welsh butter whilst we only use PGI Welsh Beef and Lamb in our pies.
We are the only bakery to have won Craft Bakery of the Year three times, in 2013 we were crowned the fastest growing company in Wales and more recently in 2014 we won ‘BAKERY MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR’, an award that means a lot to everyone who works here. Take a look at our awards page if you are interested to see all of our awards.
As we use such hands-on craft processes, our staff are hugely important to us which is why we have put a lot of focus on training and upskilling them. Our new £4million BAKING ACADEMY AND INNOVATION CENTRE will help us train the next generation of bakers as well as provide facilities for us to prefect existing products and develop new ideas. If you would like to join our expanding team, visit our careers section.
With 0% waste to landfill and many measures to reduce our energy and water consumption, we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment. Our ‘Village Green’ page provides more information on our environmental policy.
