Village Bakery passionately believes that sustainability is at the heart of our business and linked to the community that we are part of and the environment in which we operate.
We work closely in partnership with our customers to jointly deliver our sustainability objectives.
We were pleased to welcome Steve Rowe, the Chief Executive of Marks and Spencer, before his retirement, to visit Village Bakery to relaunch their Plan A mission and to talk about how we are working in partnership to deliver this mission.

Working with M&S and Wildfarmed to bake bread made with regenerative flour
We have been working with M&S and Wildfarmed to develop our M&S Sourdough range to incorporate flour produced using regenerative farming practices. M&S developed these adverts to showcase the sustainable progress and champion Village Bakery quality.
The wheat used in our M&S Collection sourdough bread is grown by a network of British farmers who work with innovative regenerative farming company Wildfarmed.
Health
GOOD HONEST INGREDIENTS
We work with our customers to continually improve the impact on health of our products by reducing salt and sugar.
We work directly with farmers to source our heritage wheat for our sourdough breads.
We source all our Welsh beef and lamb locally for our pies and slices. Where possible, we source as many ingredients as possible locally.
